Whats Happening at Nambour Rugby Feb
24/2/2020
It has been an exciting month for Nambour Rugby!
After an awesome sign on day held at the club on the 22nd of February, the club is on track for over 100 registered players who will pull on the Nambour Red and White in 2020. This is an increase of 300% on previous years with junior teams, girls teams and two senior teams all prepared for the season ahead. There is still availability in these teams, please get in touch on the contact form below or on our socials to enquire about signing up!
The senior reserve grade team was disappointed to learn about the cancellation of the Aubigny 10's tournament in Toowoomba due to inclement weather. After a great 6 weeks of training, the club was excited to have a first hitout for 2020 in preparation for the sunshine coast rugby union competition.
Not to leave a situation for the club to get together, the senior team who registered for the tens tournament decided to head out to a few of our major sponsors for the day. You might have caught a glimpse of some of the crew in red at these awesome sponsors! Woombye Pub, Ricks Garage in Palmwoods, Downtown Burgers Nambour, Terella Brewing and Junk Maroochydore. We love supporting our sponsors, so if you want to support Nambour Rugby head down to some of our great sponsors listed on the link here.
The season is fast approaching! With the first round for the Senior Reserve grade team scheduled against the Noosa Dolphins at Toad Manor on Friday March 13 at 7pm. Check out all the info about this event here!
Training is currently continuing for both our senior reserve grade and senior colts teams at 6pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays down at the manor. Get on down to training to be eligible to play in the first round! Training is now kicking up a gear with a focus on the first round against Noosa as well as the 10's preseason Colt's tournament.
